My story and why it’s important to you
Several years ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the wedding ceremonies of 9 of my dearest friends in a span of 9 months! There were lots of beach weddings (this is South Florida!) and most of them were, in isolation, absolutely lovely.
So why am I telling you this? The problem was that I have a pretty good memory and realized that 5 of the 9 ceremonies were exactly the same. EXACTLY THE SAME! Well, save for the names being changed to protect the innocent, but I digress.
All of these couples spent countless hours making sure that their wedding reception was a perfect reflection of their personalities. I know, I remember planning for my wedding — every detail gets worried about, down to the thousands of fabric swatches you can go through to make sure that the ivory tablecloths perfectly match the bride’s dress. Why then did my friends fail to put any of their personality into the part of the day that actually mattered?
The question could have just been rhetorical, but I actually asked them. The simple fact of the matter is that they didn’t realize that they could. And that is why I founded South Florida Gets Married — because you deserve to have 100% of your day be special. Do you know how many officiants show up to perform wedding ceremonies expecting that you’ll take care of microphones and sound systems? Way too many. And honestly, if you’re planning on having a DJ take care of your ceremony music, they’ll probably provide a mic. But what if you’re getting married on the sand at the beach? Or what if you booked live music? I always travel with my totally wireless sound system. No need for outlets, it’s 100% battery powered to make sure that the ceremony can be heard by everyone in attendance, whether you’re getting married in your backyard or at the 18th hole at The Blue Monster @ Doral.
In addition to the sound system, I can also provide you with ceremony and prelude music as well — for no additional charge! Whether you want a very traditional musical setting or something hip and contemporary, I can provide the music that will make it sparkle. And again, it’s totally wireless — so we can set up anywhere. If your DJ is going to charge you extra to show up at the ceremony, consider telling him not to worry about it…your officiant has it under control.
